TRAINING PROGRAM

The morning training is designed to be attended in full and is aimed at dancers and circus artists.

Contemporanea Dance Week offers a program of training and workshops upon registration.

This training is for all performer already confident in contemporary dance or urban dance.

EVENING PROGRAM

The evening program includes daily events such as talks, cinema, dance & music jams, shows, exhibitions and concerts.

Evening activities are open to all audiences. Contemporary Dance Week is a platform for gathering on the island, a hub for connecting the new generation of creative artists from Sardinia and the European scene, a connection point for artists, budding professionals, companies, collectives, and the public. We are committed to creating an inclusive and stimulating space where creative minds can meet, collaborate, and grow together, celebrating diversity and innovation in movement.

Presentation of SPaCCa a new production organization for contemporary dance, founded in 2025 through the merger of Sanpapié and C&C Company, a project dedicated to spaces of action, transdisciplinarity and physical theatre.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 8

20:00 – Sound Performance

Autocusia: Listening as Dissection by Fabio Talloru

Through the use of microphone techniques, the musician searches for his own mechanical existence. A sonic autopsy in which the body becomes a specimen observed on the anatomical table of listening, where the subject is simultaneously anatomist, body and ear.

20:30 – Exhibition

Monster Installation is an immersive environment combining objects, masks, sculptural and prosthetic elements created and built by Vinka Delgado and Lupa Maimone, alongside photography, music and the screening of a short film developed in collaboration with composer and sound designer Antonio J. López and photographer and filmmaker Francesco Rosso.

The work grows out of the creative process behind Monster Drama, a work in progress that moves between contemporary circus, choreography and visual arts, exploring monstrosity and beauty as deeply connected aesthetic and political dimensions.

20:30 Cuentas Corrientes (15 minutes)

Cuentas Corrientes is a dance duo that explores, with visceral intensity and irony, the emotional and physical limits to which work can push us. A reflection on the obsession with success, personal sacrifice, loss of identity and dehumanization within a system that turns life into transactions and ephemeral roles.

Finzioni is an archive of metamorphoses, a bodily atlas of illusions that are constantly built and dismantled, opening the doors to a surreal universe. The choreographic language intertwines with voice and objects in a continuous transformation.

Acts of contemporary metamorphosis. A sequence of figures and tableaux exploring the transformation and decay of the human condition, embodying different stages of mutation and resistance to catastrophe.

21:30 How long must I wander + CDW 2026 Final Showcase

Mr. Kriss takes us on a journey of stumbles, falls, and poetic slips, moving through despair and melancholy toward a space of wonder and hope. With the legendary sound of Nina Simone and his self-produced animations, he creates a moment of harmony between gravity, breath, and suspension.

Final presentation developed in collaboration with the participants of the Contemporanea Dance Week training program.
