


Contemporanea Dance Week was founded in 2024 in the city of Cagliari, immediately becoming a cultural oasis of openness and avant-garde for the performing arts. The artistic director is Lupa Maimone, founder of the event whit the Oltrenotte production team.

From the first edition, Contemporanea Dance Week was a great success, generating enthusiasm both among artists and the public. The program of Contemporanea Dance Week is divided into two main sections:

Morning Training: A series of masterclasses and intensive workshops, led by internationally renowned choreographers and teachers, allowing participants to explore various techniques and approaches to contemporary dance, from the more physical practices to the more conceptual and performative ones. The aim is to create a group of a maximum of 16 dancers for an intensive path dedicated to them.
Evening Activities: A series of live performances featuring European contemporary dance companies, screenings of dance films, and thematic symposia on specific topics in dance and performing arts, with prominent guests from the international scene. Additionally, the program includes moments of socialization and networking, through excursions and jam sessions, encouraging interaction between participants and guests, creating a stimulating, shared, and creative environment for the development of new projects and artistic collaborations.
